Welcome to WriteWise. These Terms of Service govern your use of our AI-powered content creation platform. By accessing or using WriteWise, you agree to be bound by these terms.

Account Terms

You must be at least 13 years old to use WriteWise
You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
You may not use WriteWise for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
You may not share your account with others or allow others to access your account
One account per person; creating multiple accounts may result in suspension

Subscriptions and Payments

Billing Cycles

WriteWise offers monthly and annual subscription plans. Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle unless you cancel before the renewal date. Subscription fees are billed in advance on a recurring basis.

Payment Processing

All payment processing is handled securely by Stripe, our third-party payment processor. WriteWise does not store your complete credit card information on our servers. By providing payment information, you authorize us to charge your payment method for the subscription fees.

Renewal Terms

Your subscription will automatically renew unless you cancel:

Monthly plans: Renew every 30 days from your initial subscription date
Annual plans: Renew every 365 days from your initial subscription date
We will notify you before charging your payment method for renewal
You can cancel anytime through your account settings

Price Changes

We reserve the right to modify our subscription prices. Any price changes will be communicated to you at least 30 days in advance and will take effect on your next billing cycle. If you do not agree to the price change, you may cancel your subscription.

Refunds

Subscription fees are non-refundable except as required by law or as explicitly stated in these terms. If you cancel your subscription, you will retain access to paid features until the end of your current billing period.

Acceptable Use and User Conduct

You agree NOT to use WriteWise to:

Generate content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable
Create content that promotes violence, discrimination, or hatred against individuals or groups
Produce spam, phishing attempts, or fraudulent content
Generate content that infringes on intellectual property rights of others
Create misleading, false, or deceptive content intended to harm others
Generate content for malicious purposes including malware, viruses, or harmful code
Violate any applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights
Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or hack the WriteWise platform
Use automated systems to access WriteWise in a manner that sends more requests than a human can reasonably produce
Resell or redistribute WriteWise services without explicit permission

Violation of these terms may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account without refund.

AI-Generated Content

How AI Works

WriteWise uses third-party AI services (including OpenAI and Anthropic) to generate and analyze content. When you use AI features, your prompts and content are sent to these AI providers for processing. These providers process your content according to their terms of service and do not use your data to train their models without explicit consent.

Content Ownership

You retain all rights to content you create using WriteWise, including AI-generated content. However, you are solely responsible for ensuring that any content you create, publish, or distribute complies with applicable laws and does not infringe on the rights of others.

Content Review

While we strive to prevent misuse, WriteWise does not pre-screen all AI-generated content. You are responsible for reviewing and editing AI-generated content before using or publishing it. We reserve the right to review content for compliance with these terms and applicable laws.

Limitation of Liability

IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER:

AI Accuracy: WriteWise is not responsible for the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of AI-generated content. AI can make mistakes, produce inaccurate information, or generate inappropriate content.
Your Responsibility: You are solely responsible for verifying the accuracy of any AI-generated content before using or publishing it.
No Guarantees: We make no warranties about the quality, appropriateness, or fitness for purpose of AI-generated content.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

WriteWise is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind
We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose
We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to WriteWise in the 12 months preceding the claim
We are not responsible for any damages resulting from your use of AI-generated content
We are not liable for service interruptions, data loss, or security breaches beyond our reasonable control

Service Availability

We strive to provide reliable service, but we do not guarantee that WriteWise will be available at all times. Service may be interrupted for maintenance, updates, or due to factors beyond our control. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service with or without notice.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for:

Violation of these Terms of Service
Fraudulent or illegal activity
Abuse of the platform or other users
Non-payment of fees
Any other reason at our sole discretion

Upon termination, your right to use WriteWise will immediately cease. You may terminate your account at any time by canceling your subscription through your account settings.

Intellectual Property

The WriteWise platform, including its design, features, and functionality, is owned by WriteWise and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on WriteWise without our explicit permission.

Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the platform. Your continued use of WriteWise after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. If you do not agree to the modified terms, you must stop using WriteWise and cancel your account.

Governing Law

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which WriteWise operates, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
